Southport Senior Center
The Southport Senior Center is one of three Senior Centers provided to the county by Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc. (BSRI). The center services the eastern part of the county including the Boiling Spring Lakes, Oak Island, and Sunset Harbor areas. As a Senior Center the location offers activities, events, evidence based classes, services, educational programs, games, exercise classes, dance classes, social activities, presentations, fairs, and much more. Within the operating hours of all BSRI locations, programs are provided to eligible participants at no charge. Consumer Contributions are acceptable to help expand programs.
Even though a senior center, often times individuals may find activities and events that are of interest to them. Also the center serves as an avenue to services for caregivers. Periodic training is provided to the non-elderly. If there is an activity or event you are interested in, please get involved even if you do not consider yourself a “senior.”
Please note, all activities are free of charge to those 60 years and older. Individuals under 60 will be charged a $2 per class fee. Unless otherwise noted. Please just show up for classes unless otherwise noted as well.
