Medicare Part D Enrollment

Open Enrollment is November 15, 2008 through December 31, 2008!!

***Three easy steps to enroll.***

1.  The first step in choosing a plan is submitting an application for extra help through Social Security.

2.  If you are 65 years of age or older apply for North Carolina's program for extra help with premium cost. If approved, NCRx will pay up to $26 a month premium cost!

*Important note: Please submit the application(s) even though you may not qualify.  You will need the letter of "denial" if you experience the "donut hole" after open enrollment.  The Prescription Assistance Coordinator will be able to assist you, but the letter of "denial" is a required document. 

3. Once you receive the "Pre-Decisional" notice from the extra help through Social Security, you may compare the prescription drug plans.  It is not required for you to wait for the Pre-Decisional notice, but it will impact the cost-sharing of  premium and co pay(s).
